Jessica Alba Spotted at Ralphs
I always find it amusing when fans describe seeing celebrities out in public. This fan spotted Jessica Alba and Cash Warren at Ralphs earlier this week, here is what she wrote:
I just ran into Jessica Alba and Cash Warren at the Ralphs on Doheny and Beverly Blvd, about 10:30pm Tuesday Dec. 5th. Cash was pushing the grocery cart and seemed to be doing all the shopping, while Jessica was wandering up another aisle by herself. She wasn’t looking at anything on the shelves, just wandering, which I thought was odd. Also, there was a beautiful white Bentley GT in the parking lot. I’m assuming it was hers.

Jessica Alba Traumatised at the SPA
Jessica Alba got the shock of her life upon entering a local SPA while in Europe. Apparently she didn’t know that people do the whole SPA thing while naked… In a recent interview Jessica said:
“I went to a spa and it was so traumatic because no one was wearing a suit in the Jacuzzi. It was gross!
I’m not sitting with a bunch of people with their business hanging out!”
Jessica added that she always keeps her curvaceous figure covered up because she doesn’t like being leered at.
“I don’t put it out there. I stay away from super-high heels, super-short skirts, revealing tops.
I know what kind of attention you get from that and it’s not the kind I want.”
When asked about her relationships with Cash Warren, Jessica admitted that the Hollywood relationship is hard to maintain.
“I’m not the easiest person to hang with all the time. I’m away a lot and it’s an unconventional life.“

'Project Runway' Episode Recap: 'Sew Me What You Got'
The first episode of "Project Runway's" fourth season asked its viewers to text in their favorite part of the show. Is it the diva designers, runway walk-offs, catty judges or Tim Gunn that makes them come back each week?
The overwhelming winner was Mr. "Make-it-work" himself. But it's a tough call. Each has been equally enthralling, hilarious and inspiring over the past three years. The new season doesn't disappoint. The characters, like the show itself, are equally enthralling, hilarious and inspiring (not to mention just plain wacky).
For their first challenge, the designers are given $50,000 worth of fine fabrics and are asked to make whatever outfit best describes their fashion point-of-view. As one of the competitors puts it, "The challenge is, 'Who are you?' And that's, like, a philosophical question."
Rami Kashou walked away the winner of the first episode. From the beginning he touts the fact that he made a dress for Jessica Alba. He brags about his ability to "mix feminine with edgy." Tim Gunn calls his dress-in-progress "stunning." Unless he screws this up royally, he'll likely end up in the show's top three.
It seems like the costumes Chris March designed pre-show are larger than life. His bubbly personality make him a prospect for fan-favorite, but something tells us he'll end up suffering the same fate as over-the-top Cane from season three.
Twenty-one-year-old Christian Siriano, with his Paris Hilton sunglasses and snarky attitude, grates on our nerves already. His design did land him in the top three, but the look on his face when he wasn't crowned the victor was unnerving. He argues with Lord Gunn. He claims that "there's some hand-sewn crap" in the design room. Where's Laura Bennett from season three to put him in his place when you need her?
Carmen Webber, a former model, looks to be the obvious "edgy" voice of the bunch. Five minutes after the first episode however, her Mohawk seems more memorable than her design.
Ralph Lauren designer Jillian Lewis creates a dramatic, brightly colored piece for the first challenge that looks the most couture-ish of them all. She fails to make it to the top three however, only making us want her to succeed more.
Kit "Pistol" Scarbo calls her unusual name like her own "Mark Twain." 'Nuff said.
Kevin Christiana is, so far, completely forgettable.
Jack Mackenroth will be a fan favorite. He's gorgeous and charming. What did he design again?
Steve Rosengard comes to the fashion world from the Museum of Science and Industry. He likes to keep things classic, he says, and pared down.
Ricky Lizalde cries within the first five minutes of the show (over fashion being so meaningful to him or something, yadda, yadda, yadda). He also omits such memorable phrases as, "I was hoar," (over hoarding fabrics); "I ran like a Mexican running to the border" (over running toward the fabrics), and "I was a cheerleader in high school" (really, ya think?) That being said, he creates an incredibly wearable baby-doll dress for the challenge that somehow finds its way into the bottom three.
"Sweet P" earned her quirky name during her time with an all-girl motorcycle club. And we completely forgot what she designed already.
Simple and classy Victorya Hong gives Rami a run for his money in the first challenge. Her elegant black, voluminous dress clearly impresses the judges. Like the challenge winner, she has an excellent shot at finding herself in Bryant Park if she keeps it up.
Elisa Jimenez is a former marionette maker, who looks more content to roll her expensive fabric around in the grass than actually spend time making an intricate design. She says she wants the train on her electric blue dress to "cascade like water or magic." Co-competitor Christian describes her as a "rain goddess woman in the Himalayan mountains." She finishes her dress hours before the others to take a nap. She sizes her model up with "hand-measuring" rather than using actual measurements. Heidi Klum says it looks like her model is "pooing fabric." This stuff is just too good to make up.
Simone LeBlanc uses words like "antiquated" to describe her designs. She's the first to be sent home. Coincidence? We think not.
The newest crop of designers and designer-wannabes look promising. We have pros to puppet makers, self-proclaimed "Queens" to former models themselves. This season is sure to bring a whole new set of catchphrases and fabulous clothes. And, as the first-to-go-home Simone said, "Life is way too short to have on a bad outfit."

Jessica Alba Stars In The Bone-Chilling Thriller 'The Eye,' Out Feb. 1
Sydney Wells (Jessica Alba) is an accomplished, independent, Los Angeles-based concert violinist. She is also blind, and has been so since a childhood tragedy.
As our story opens, Sydney undergoes a double corneal transplant, a surgery she has waited her whole life to have, and her sight is restored. After the surgery, neural ophthalmologist Dr. Paul Faulkner (Alessandro Nivola) helps Sydney with the difficult adjustment, and with the support of her older sister Helen (Parker Posey), Sydney learns to see again.
But Sydney's happiness is short-lived as unexplainable shadowy and frightening images start to haunt her. Are they a passing aftermath of her surgery, Sydney's mind adjusting to sight, a product of her imagination, or something horrifyingly real? As Sydney's family and friends begin to doubt her sanity, Sydney is soon convinced that her anonymous eye donor has somehow opened the door to a terrifying world only she can now see.

Jessica Alba To Take On Broadway
Jessica Alba is lining up a stint on the Broadway stage next year - in a bid to beat an actor's strike. Alba is in talks to star in a production of David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow, playing Karen - a role debuted on the New York stage in 1998 by Madonna. The actress hopes the show will coincide with a planned actor's strike - so she doesn't have to be out of work.
Alba told the morning TV show Live with Regis and Kelly, "I have been asked. It's perfect timing because of the strike. There might be an actor's strike in June. So if they don't resolve, I can do theater."

Starpulse Holiday Movie Preview, Part 3
With every surplus of holiday cheer comes a few Scrooges. Some can't stand all the mushiness, or perhaps they just want to have something blow up to go along with their eggnog. Maybe they just like to sit on the edge of their seats instead of on Santa's lap. Fair enough.
For those people, there have been a few real holiday film gems over the years. Some are disturbing, such as Santa going on a killing spree. Others are entertaining, like Die Hard's Christmas party gone awry.
Part Three - Bah Humbug- Action/Drama/Adventure
But many don't have any holiday thematic link at all, and that suits a lot of December moviegoers just fine. Last year was bursting with action and dramas, with The Departed, The Prestige, Turistas, Blood Diamond, 300, The Good Shepherd, Children of Men, and Babel just to name a few. Included in those were some of the big Oscar pushes for last year, reflecting the violent times the country is facing.
While America is hardly any more at peace this year, there seems to be fewer war themed action pictures. Even so, there will always be some such as Tom Cruise's Lions for Lambs (Nov. 9). It remains to be seen if Cruise will rebound from the "crazy for Coco Puffs" persona that he has been recently sporting. Not only has France barred him from dealing with the government on diplomatic issues (after his lobbying for scientology irritated the country), but most of America seems pretty sick of him as well. Still, what Cruise lacks in sense and psychological stability he makes up for in publicity and sometimes in talent, so maybe "Lambs" will find legs.
All the same, perhaps this year Americans are looking for an escape from the ongoing conflicts overseas. If so, they're finding some of their action on the streets. American Gangster (Nov. 2) kicked off the season and has had some nice acclaim and success. For those looking for an old-fashioned shooter/crime drama, "Gangster" brings that plus the dynamic performances of Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington to the table.
Sweeney Todd (Dec. 21) is another period NY crime drama, and will feature Johnny Depp as the "daemon barber of fleet street" who's got a song in his heart. The success of this musical thriller is harder to place, as it will be trying to appeal to audiences who like action and those who like spontaneous singing- two groups that normally don't mix. However, its successful stint on Broadway suggests "Sweeny Todd" has more than a fair shot, and will be worth checking out.
jessica wallpapers
Hitman (Nov. 21), meanwhile, will satisfy those who can't get enough of political conspiracies and spy drama, and it will perhaps fill the void that was created by last year's Bond flick, Casino Royale. It's made up of a small cast of relatively smaller names, but sometimes that equals big-time talent. Timothy Olyphant gets top billing, and he has shown some real chops in the past. However, most recently he underachieved in Live Free or Die Hard, failing to create a villain we love to hate he became a villain we hated to watch.
Hayden Christensen is Awake (Nov. 30), and it's his first big role since wrapping the Star Wars Saga. We can only hope he leaves his knack for whining, a biological trait of the Skywalker family, in a galaxy far far away. Jessica Alba joins him here, and the plotline is thrilling enough - it centers on a guy who has an out-of-body experience during surgery and finds out his doctors are trying to whack him. It does remain to be seen how this movie can be longer than 10 minutes.

And of course there is the return of the National Treasure series. There are those who cannot call it Christmas without having some Nicolas Cage in their stocking. The first installment of what will probably become a trilogy did surprisingly well, riding the coattails of the successful novel The Da Vinci Code by combining a series of ancient clues too coincidental to be anything but international conspiracy. "National Treasure" was entertaining enough, so National Treasure: The Book of Secrets (Dec. 21) will probably hold its own - although it is unlikely to deviate much from being a different version of the same story.
But Nick Cage isn't the only one returning to the table for seconds. There is also Alien vs. Predator: Requim (Dec. 25). Don't let the artsy name fool you, it's still a movie that probably would have been better off as a video game. Still, Alien vs. Predator gave fans exactly what they wanted, so this one probably won't be any different. Plus, did you ever see Freddy vs. Jason? That movie was hysterical, where's our sequel? Now that's a film to warm your holiday heart.

Jessica Alba Is A Prude

Jessica Alba Is A Prude
Jessica Alba is keen to quash her reputation as a sexy screen siren - insisting she is really a prude. Despite slipping into lycra for the Fantastic Four films; playing a sexy vixen in Sin City and peeling off for various magazine photo shoots, Alba insists she is famous in the movie industry for being shy.
She says, "Other than Sin City, I don't really wear skimpy outfits in my movies. People know that I'm a prude. Word has gotten around."
The actress famously has a no-nudity clause in her contract and only agreed to bare her back for a scene in new movie Awake, insisting, "That's it. Above the waist, back. And nobody was in front of me but a wall."

Eva Mendes Hates Whining Actresses

Eva Mendes Hates Whining Actresses
Eva Mendes wants to "strangle" actresses who complain about the hardships of beauty because they should appreciate their good fortune instead of moan about it.
The sexy Cuban, 33, insists actresses like Jessica Alba - who has previously spoken out about the pains of being beautiful - are just being ignorant, as they don't consider the challenges other performers face.
She says, "You know what really pisses me off? I've heard so many actresses say something to the effect that it's very difficult to be beautiful in this business. And you know, I'm not violent but I literally want to strangle them. I want to tell them, 'No, it's difficult being overweight in this business. It's difficult being from a minority or having some kind of physical or mental disability. But the easiest thing is to be beautiful in this business.' Why do they say that? It sounds so arrogant."

Jessica Alba Loved Being Normal

Jessica Alba Loved Being Normal
Jessica Alba loved playing a normal person in new movie Awake - because she has grown sick of portraying a superhuman. After two Fantastic Four films, Alba was desperate to ditch her Lycra costumes and return to normality.
She says, "I really liked not having to play a superhero. I didn't have to do any action scenes; I didn't have to dance; I didn't have to scuba dive."

Britney Spears Tops 'Most Searched For' List
Troubled singer Britney Spears has been named the 'most searched for' person on the Internet for the sixth time by web giant Yahoo!.
The 26-year-old has topped a list of celebrities who fascinated web users during 2007 after the press documented her recent troubles, which have included the custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline and the release of her first new album, Blackout, in four years.
Vera Chan, Senior Editor at Yahoo, says, "People do not know what to expect from her (Spears) any more and the searches would spike every time she was back in the news.
"From when she shaved her head and rumors emerged from the rehab mill that she was calling herself the anti-Christ and shaved 666 on her scalp, there was constant tracking of this almost modern-day Greek tragedy happening in front of us."
Spears has headed up the list for six of the past seven years, losing out only once in 2004 to her friend Paris Hilton. The socialite comes in at number three following her stint in jail earlier this year.
The number two spot was held by World Wrestling Entertainment, after the death of Chris Benoit who killed his wife and son and then hanged himself in June.
Beyonce Knowles came in at number five while Lindsay Lohan's brief spell in prison earned her the number six place, followed by singer Fergie at number nine and actress Jessica Alba at 10.

Gabrielle Union: 'Stop Calling Films Starring Blacks Urban Movies'

Gabrielle Union: 'Stop Calling Films Starring Blacks Urban Movies'
Gabrielle Union has hit out at the 'urban' tag given to her new Christmas film The Perfect Holiday, insisting movies shouldn't be classified that way just because they star black people.
Union wishes "The Perfect Holiday," which has a predominantly African-American cast and will be released next week, could be thought of without race coming into it - like Vince Vaughn's recent festive hit Fred Claus.
She says, "No one calls 'Fred Claus' the white Christmas movie. 'The Perfect Holiday' is a movie about the holidays. It's not race-specific. If there's more than one black person in the movie, it's an urban romantic comedy, an urban thriller - it's just a flipping movie. The way kids think, the demographic they pander and chase - they don't care.
"The same way guys are like, 'Halle Berry's hot, Jessica Alba's hot' - they don't say, 'She's a hot black girl' or 'a hot Latina'. They notice trends, they buy movies they like, they Google people they like. It's not race-specific... Give me a break. It's an old-fashioned notion of marketing, and how they like to label things."

JESSICA ALBA QUOTES
"I thought it was my job to give all the boys their first kiss."
"I'm good at being sarcastic with guys. They don't want the quiet, prissy little things."
"I've got cousins galore. Mexicans just spread all their seeds. And the women just pop them out."
"Living in L.A., everyone likes to mold you and change you. I don't care about fame, I don't care about being a celebrity. I know that's part of the job, but I don't feed into anyone's idea of who I should be."
"Most nights I end up wearing a wife beater T-shirt and boxers."
"My theory is that if you look confident you can pull off anything - even if you have no clue what you're doing."
"There's no such thing as a perfect guy. I think it would be strange if somebody was absolutely everything you always wanted, because then there'd be no challenge. Also, you'd feel inferior."

Does Jessica have an official web site?
No, but we like to think this is the "Fans Official Jessica Alba Website." We've been here since 1999 and this is the site to come to if you want to steal pics and start your own website! (We are in the plans of making an 2GB zip of all the Jessica Alba pictures we have)
Who runs this site and why?
This site was administrated and designed by Chris Allison. Chris has been a fan of Jessica for 6 years. He met her by chance once and decided to create a site for her. The Alba Area was born in January of 1999. It has become the most popular Jessica Alba fan site on the Web. It is occasionally visited by Jessica, her family, and friends. Chris sold the Alba Area in 2001 to Niles of Atheos Online. The website was then administered by Stoney Laurel of the late great absolutelyalba.net (He has been of fan of Jessica since Flipper and the Idle Hands previews). Niles closed the website in Dec 2003 for reasons unknown. The site remained offline for over a year (redirecting to a political website for a while). In April 2005, the site was purchased by another die hard Alba fan (the current admin of the site) in hopes of restoring the website. Most of the website was redesigned from scratch and the original content is being slowly restored.

Jessica Marie Alba was born in Pomona, California, on April 28, 1981. Jessica’s family moved to Biloxi, Mississippi while Jessica was very young. Her father, who was in the Air Force, moved the family to Del Rio, Texas, later. Eventually, the family settled in southern California when Jessica was nine. Jessica had always wanted to be an actress from the age of five. She took her first acting class at the age of 12. Shortly later, Jessica was signed by an agency.
In 1993, Jessica made her movie debut in Camp Nowhere. She was originally hired for a short time but got lucky when one of the main actresses dropped out. Jessica, who had the same color hair as the actress, eagerly took over the spot. After her first movie, Jessica appeared in two commercials for Nintendo and J.C. Penny and a few independent films. In 1994, she landed a reoccurring role in "The Secret World of Alex Mac." She played a snob who made life hard for the main character with magical powers.
Also in 1994, she landed the role of Maya for a pilot of "Flipper." Jessica spent 1995 filming the first season of "Flipper" in Australia. Jessica is a PADI-certified diver and the "Flipper" show allowed her to have fun and play with the dolphins. The success of the first season of "Flipper" lead to the filming of the second season, which Jessica also starred in. Jessica involvement in "Flipper" lasted from 1995-1997. Since "Flipper" Jessica has appeared in a number of television shows and movies.
In 1996, Jessica appeared in Venus Rising as Young Eve. Also in 1996, she appeared in an episode of "Chicago Hope", as Maria. In 1997, Jessica appeared on the "Dini Petty Show", a Canadian talk show, and talked about her role in Flipper and her general acting career. She began working on P.U.N.K.S., featuring Randy Quaid, in 1998. P.U.N.K.S. was just recently released on video in early January, 1999.
In 1998, Jessica appeared in several TV shows for an episode or two. In early 1998, she appeared in "Brooklyn South", as Melissa. A few months later, she appeared in two episodes of "Beverly Hills 90210", as Leanne. And finally, she appeared in an episode of "Love Boat: The Next Wave." In 1999 she appeared a huge number of magazines. She had a small role in Never Been Kissed which was released in the Spring. A month later she could be found with a larger role in Idle Hands. Her two performances in those movies started a buzz in the entertainment industry. Many more magazines would come knocking on her door. Shortly after the release of those two movies, she landed the starring role in Paranoia. She finished filming Paranoia in June. The movie is in post-production now.
Shortly later she started working on what will potentially be her biggest work ever. She auditioned for the leading role in Dark Angel. She caught the eye of James Cameron and will now star in the post anticipated TV show of 2000, Dark Angel. With the huge success of Dark Angel and its legion of fans, Jessica will no longer be a rising star, she will be among the hollywood elite, a star.
Jessica made a comeback in 2003 with the title role in Honey. In 2005 she appeared opposite Bruce Willis in the movie "Sin City", the down-and-dirty feature-film version of Frank Miller's popular graphic novels. Alba played Nancy, a stripper with a tortured past who's about as close to innocence as it gets in a grisly black-and-white world.
